It’s Been A While
I’ve noticed it’s been a while since my last update. A couple weeks back I went out to North Carolina for the Candidate Orientation. While I was out their I met with the Missionary Committee, and met with a psychiatrist. The meeting with the Committee went really well. The members of the committee were really friendly, and I wasn’t nervous after talking with them for a little bit.
While I was in Cary, NC I was able to meet one of the TWR staff Benjamin. Benjamin, had also spent some time in Benin, so we were able to talk for a while about our time in Benin. It was great getting to meet someone that I had heard quite a bit about while in Africa.
While I was in NC I decided to visit a couple battlefields as well as see Richmond. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to make it to the Confederate White House while it was open, but I did take some pictures of the outside.
Also on Monday I received an email from TWR saying that I have been approved for missionary service! There are a few things that will need to be fully worked out before I can start raising support. I am hoping to early February attend some training in Colorado Springs for Language Acquisition as well as how to better fit in with another culture. I appreciate your continued prayers over the next several months. Specifically I would appreciate prayers with respect to my attitude. I tend to be more on the negative side of things, and would like for that to change.
